After exploring all avenues of the visual arts, she solidified her expression through the media of hand-painted paper, collage, and acrylics. She was chosen through a national competition in 1988 to participate in the "Artists Liaison Catalogue" juried by Peter Clothier, Colin Gardner, and Bruce Guenther, among others. Her work is in private and corporate collections, as well as the collection of Beaver College, where it was chosen by Grace Glueck to be included in the show "Works on Paper".

Lynn Gustafson (1954-2001) Retrospective 2020
In Lynn Gustafson own words, "I am drawn to interpreting environments and expressing their fluid spontaneity. Celebrating the continual growth of life, I explore the emotional impact of what we pass through. I depend on my intuition and emotion, as much as on paints and paper, to create my artwork. Loosely but focused, I desire to cross the illusory boundaries between humankind and nature, intellect and emotion, art and the viewer.
Lynn remains present through her artistic gift to the world.
